Yücel Karadiş studied at Political Science Faculty of Ankara University between 1995-2000 at the Department of Public Administration. After graduating in 2000, he won the examination of the Deputy Undersecretary of Customs in 2001. In 2004 he was appointed to the Customs Inspectorate. In the years 2005-2006 he participated EU negotiations on Taxing Part. Between 2009 and 2011 he completed his master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics at Northeastern University in USA (Boston).
Yücel Karadiş, who was a consultant for a period of time in 2011, was appointed as the Head of the Department of General Directorate of EU and External Relations of the Ministry of Customs and Trade in October 2011. During his presidency he undertook the international coordination of the Mutual Recognition Agreements (KIYA) and the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). In this framework, he was conducted negotiations on Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA).
After 3 years as the department chairman, he continued to work as the Customs and Trade Chief Inspector in the Ministry of Customs and Trade. He resigned from his position as of 15.12.2016 and founded CONSULTURK.
Yücel Karadiş has books one of them published Gazi Kitabevi ‘Küreselleşen Sivilleşen Türkiye’ (Globalizing, Demilitarizing Turkey); a Customs Question Bank published from Ankara Customs Agents Association and Customs Consultant Preparation Questions. The Customs Question Bank book has been the best selling book title in its category since 2013.
He has taught at Ankara Atılım University, Istanbul Gedik University and currently teaches in international trade, international trade strategies, Customs and Applications at Istanbul Şehir University and Nişantaşı University.
